We provide advice in all areas of town planning work. Typically this might involve: undertaking planning appraisal work for landowners to assess the development potential of land; submitting planning applications; advising on planning appeals and enforcement notices; or indeed making representations on behalf of clients through the development plan process.
We also specialise in planning obligation / viability negotiations, with the objective of ensuring our clients’ interests are strongly represented.
We often work as part of a larger team and are able to bring on board specialist advice when required in areas such as ecology, landscape design, archaeology, heritage, highways and transport, green infrastructure, flood risk, energy generation / conservation, sustainable construction and BREEAM.
As chartered members of the Royal Town Planning Institute we are authorised by the Bar Council under Licensed Access. This allows direct access to the services of a barrister.
Proposals may require a more bespoke approach and we are happy to discuss promotion agreements, bringing in specialists in property and viability, or working with house builders and developers to unlock the potential of sites.
