We regularly work with and commission specialist consultants on behalf of clients to deal with technical issues such as land contamination, ecology and heritage constraints. Frequently planning authorities require applications to be supported by such studies and therefore they can be key to the success of proposals.
The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011 as amended contain lists of developments where an EIA will be required (Schedule 1) and where one may be required (Schedule 2 – if the site is in a sensitive area and is likely to have significant effects on the environment).
Where an EIA may be required we will prepare and submit a ‘screening’ request and work with specialist consultants to prepare a ‘scoping’ request and the Environmental Statement itself.
We are happy to recommend specialists to deal with specific issues.
