Another Class Q Prior Approval!

We are so pleased to have obtained a Class Q Prior Approval for the conversion of an agricultural barn into a 'larger' dwellinghouse within Oxfordshire, where the Council has deemed that no prior approval is required.

Class Q Prior Approval applications can be used to convert your agricultural barn into a residential dwellinghouse. The concept was first introduced in 2014 and has since been used widely where site constrains and limitations allow.

These converted buildings can also attract a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) liaiblity, which may be able to be covercome through exemptions and reductions.

Do you have an agricultural barn which you would like to make your home? Not sure whether it's possible or worth looking into? Give us a call and we would be delighted to talk you through the process and take a look at your site.

If you have also recently sucessfuly obtained a Class Q Prior Approval, and are wondering whether you may be liable for CIL, please get in contact and we can review this for you.
